Platform notes

Spark checks what each platform lets it read. The rest is confirmed by Spark staff with a screenshot. Each item tells you which.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp

  • Most items are read automatically: that your accounts exist and are connected, that they belong to your business, your Page's name, phone, website and details, your business verification, your catalogue and your tracking code.
  • A few Instagram and WhatsApp items, such as matching address and phone, are confirmed by Spark staff.
  • Your Page, Instagram account and WhatsApp account should sit inside your own business portfolio, with Spark as a partner.

TikTok

  • Read automatically: account, connection, ad account, name and tracking code.
  • Confirmed by Spark staff: ownership, logo, profile details, business verification and payment. TikTok does not let software read verification status.
  • Your ad account should sit in your TikTok Business Center, with Spark's Business Center added as a partner.

Snapchat

  • Read automatically: whether your account exists and is connected.
  • Everything else is confirmed by Spark staff.
  • A person sets up the Snapchat organization, the Public Profile and the payment method in Snap Business Manager. Spark cannot do these for you.
  • Once Spark has access to your organization, Spark can create the ad account inside it.
  • When your business is in Saudi Arabia, Snapchat is switched on by default. Elsewhere you can add it.

Google Business Profile, Google Ads and YouTube

  • For now, every Google item is confirmed by Spark staff with a screenshot. A person does the steps in Google's own screens.
  • Google Business Profile: create it with the Google account your business will own, then add Spark as a manager in Business Profile settings → People and access. Keep yourself as the primary owner.
  • Google Ads: create the account with your business's Google account, then accept Spark's manager account link request in Admin → Access and security → Managers. The link gives access only; you stay the owner. Choose the time zone and currency carefully: Google does not let you change them later.
  • Advertiser verification on Google: Google asks for the documents on screen. Unfinished verification can pause your ads.

Payment methods

On every ad platform you add the payment method yourself, in your business's name. Spark never sees or stores your card details.
